I have heard about this tour before and I finally got a chance to take it for myself! While my mom came to visit for Christmas, we thought it would be a perfect time to take Carlos Celdran's walking tour of Intramuros. Carlos is a character! He is also passionate about his love for Manila. The tour was informative, honest, painful at times and totally fascinating! We learned so much and got an even deeper appreciation for the gem that was and is, Manila.

hi mai! a lot of what he talked about, i knew but there were deeper things like how the culture evolved. did you know that manila was like the paris of asia? did you know that gen mc arthur had to carpet bomb manila to cut losses and halt the japanese and 120,000 filipinos died. the section on the japanese and world war 2 was pretty grim. carlos loves the philippines and wants people to see the beauty here and have everyone take part in making manila beautiful again. so much more. want to try to put together a firld trip for VCS but of course, he'll have to make it child friendly.
