I know that this book came out a long time ago but I only just had a chance to read it. Tuedsays With Morrie is about a dedicated professor, Morrie Shwartz, who is dying from ALS and his meetings with his former student, Mitch Albom. Morrie, who is slowly dying from ALS, a disease without cure, has decided to share his experience of preparing for death to help others learn to truly live. It is a beautiful book that encourages each of us to love others, to open our hearts of compassion, to mentor others, to use our unique gifts and talents to be a blessing to this world. Tuesdays With Morrie is inspiring and it serves as a reminder that God desires each of us to appreciate all that He has done and given us. If anyone is "down in the dumps" or wallowing in self pity or just needs a shot of encouragement, pick up a copy of this book.
